Beezy Vandross: A Journey Rooted in Hustle, Music, and Resilience

Beezy Vandross, born DeMarcus Walker, was born and raised in the Port City of Mobile, Alabama. Charismatic artist and entrepreneur Walker has roots that run deep in music. Born and raised in the small town of Jackson, Alabama, DeMarcus' early life was riddled with the struggles and responsibilities that came with his mother fighting lupus. At a very tender age, he became a caretaker for his family, and a hustler mentality obviously seemed to define his life.

Beezy first started singing in the church with the youth choir. From there, this marked the beginning of his love for music, when he later discovered his voice and then his style of music. Influencing him were artists such as Hardhead Deablo, Z-Ro, C-Nile, and the late Mr. Biggs, to name a few, through melody, learning to juxtapose the smooth with the rugged, intense instrumentals that find his style.

Fast forward to 2017: Beezy started releasing music under the moniker of MG$ Entertainment but, being the entrepreneur that he is, he quickly started his own label, Wild Hawg Records. If this was not enough, then it was that burning desire for creative control and ambition to get through the doors-truly a driving force like no other. The music and lyrics from Beezy connect him with a devoted fanbase that values authentic expression, and he has an odyssey of leaving small-town Alabama and moving into Birmingham's music scene as testimony to commitment and quality.

But in his career path, music has not been the core area on which Beezy has been focused. In 2016, he initiated his clothing line known as Hustlers Wit Ambition, talking about hustle since his early days. The brand idea came from visiting a barbershop in Jackson and looking at the heat press machine. This is where he started exploring ways of making his own wears and soon begun the business. The uniqueness of the brand is based on his life story and accounts for the resiliency and ambition in his life.

Beezy's success story proves to be the toughest way up it gets. Again, after the injury in 2019, it came to a crossroad-rest or follow one's heart with this entrepreneurial dream. He chose the latter and thus put his efforts into building Hustlers Wit Ambition, setting an example of hope for his community. It is in what Beezy has been able to overcome, from losing his mom at 20 to now-here, facing the everyday struggles it takes to grow both a business and a music career.

Through it all, Beezy Vandross stays focused on his vision of success, not only for himself but also for his community. This music, this brand, this story-meaningful of a man who, in motivation, relentless drive, and strong spirit, he is.
